It boasts of the most modern sports facilities that meet international standards.

‘Sangram’ is the annual sports fest of IIT Roorkee, and this year will be the second edition of ‘Sangram’. It involves a wide range of sports comprising football, cricket, basketball, weight lifting, athletics, racquet games, swimming, billiards and many others. ‘Sangram’ is aimed at providing a good platform to budding sports enthusiasts and creating a healthy competition.

‘Sangram 10’ had a footfall of 3000 students, and this year we are hoping to make it even larger. The likes of Kapil Dev have graced the sports fest in the past.Publicity for ‘Sangram’ is expected to reach at least 6000, and it has an extremely good reach in northern India.

The estimated budget for the meet will be in the tune of approx. Rs. 2.85 lakhs which will include the expenses for accommodation, transportation, food, sports accessories, T-shirts etc. The expenses will be met through sponsorships. We hope that, the organization like yours will definitely come forward to sponsor a big event like this and will make this event a trademark event among the students of IITs and other esteemed engineering institutes from North India.
