1. Do we need to bring our own Sports Kits?
Of course...yes. Each institute shall bring their own kit which should be in same color for a particular game.

2. How do I pre-register for an event in Sangram?
We have already dispatched the pre-invitation to your college. Please get in touch with your authorities for the same and kindly act as per instructed in the pre-invitation letter.

3. What about medical facilities on the campus?
We have Institute Hospital on the campus with all the medical facilities.

4. How to reach the campus on arrival at Roorkee ?
We will have team members of the Transport Cell at the station to welcome you and escort you to the campus. You don't have to worry about conveyance etc. once you reach Roorkee. Please inform us about your train and its expected arrival time at Roorkee at least seven days in advance so that the transport arrangements can be made for you. In any case, in the very adverse situation, if you don’t find anyone of the Sangram team and manage to not find our desk at the railway station, do hop on to any tempo, auto rickshaw or taxi for IIT Roorkee. After reaching campus, please report at the hospitality desk at the LBS pavilion.

5. What do we need for final registration?
Teams should can advance register through e-mail/post(preferably e-mail). The on spot registration is not allowed. At the time of registration it would be necessary to produce the following documents:

1. ‘Confirmation Letter’ sent by us.
2. Identity Card and Bonafide Certificates of each and every participant of the participating institution.
3. Two passport size photographs of all participants
4. Two printed copies of the names of participants arranged according to their events. The name of the leader of the participating institution’s contingent should be clearly mentioned in this list
5. A statement of permission awarded by the head of the participating institute.

6. What is the registration fees per participant? What all do we get?
Registration fee is Rs 1000 per head for all team members including team managers who would accompany their teams to Sangram ‘11. In addition, a security deposit of Rs 100 per head (refundable at the time of departure) will also be levied at the time of registration. Mode of Payment of the registration fee – The total amount has to be either remitted by a demand draft in favor of ‘Chief Advisor Sports,Sports Council, IIT Roorkee’, payable at Roorkee or directly in cash, at the time of registration.

7. What about my accommodations at the institute?
We have 8 boy's hostels and 2 girl's hostel on the campus. The boys and girls of your team would be accommodated separately in these in a dormitory sort of arrangement. We have special arrangements for the faculty members in guest house.

8. What are the mess arrangements?
Arrangements for messing will be made in a Hostel mess that runs during the festival. Participants from previous years have admired the quality of our food. We hope to live up to the standards. Charges for messing our included in the registration fees.

9. When am I expected to arrive and what will be the duration of my stay?
Your arrival is expected by the afternoon of 24th February 2011. The duration of your stay is expected to coincide the festival duration. We will be providing you lodging facilities from 24th afternoon to 27th midnight.

10. What about the security inside the campus?
We have a private security agency called CISS active all 24 hours. Its job is to safeguard the campus against thefts and see to the security of the hostels.

11. What kind of discipline is expected from me? IITR is known for its strict discipline and the respect that the campus community has for its culture. Though we in no way stop you from completely enjoying the festival, we at least expect from you to honor the IITR tradition. Please do not bring liquor inside the campus and do not be involved in hooliganism and rowdiness.

12. What about the prizes and Certificates ?
All prize money and certificates will be distributed in a closing ceremony on the evening of 14th March.However the prizes of informals may be given on the spot. However some arrangements can be made for team leaving early provided they inform us well in early.

13. Our college didn't get the pre-invitation letter. What should I do?
Simple...Just send a mail to us stating which games your college shall be tentatively participating in. Kindly mail the same latest by 26th February at publicity.sangram@gmail.com. Please note that the pre registration doesn't necessarily ensure your participation in Sangram '11 since the no of teams have an upper limit. We would get in touch with you for the same once we get all the mails.
